I was honoured to join the Le Cheile FRC team in November 2020. My own background is in Early Years Education and Community Development. My training is M.Soc. Sc & BA (ECS) My role is to co-ordinate all services within Le Cheile FRC’s remit, manage our buildings, engage and support staff as they do their work, collaborate with existing services locally and nationally and when a niche is found in the Community find a way to counteract it. Lastly, it is my responsibility to oversee the Financial and Compliance with Legislation aspect of running a Family Resource Centre. Main aim of Le Cheile FRC is to provide a range of services and supports locally that contribute to the well-being of service users. These services include: family support, Meitheals, parenting programmes e.g. Parents Plus & NVR, childcare facilities, counselling services for adults & adolescents, Literacy Support, Tenancy Sustainment Support, Cork Refugee Resettlement project, Community Health project, Social Prescribing Link Worker, Admin support for groups and individuals and meeting room hire. We strongly believe that life is a cycle and at times, everyone will need support with the challenges that come along. We aim to provide a caring and appropriate response to every service user.
