Le Chéile FRC Chronicles May 25: What’s Happened and What’s Next

Start

So here we are in summer here at Le Chéile FRC, we continue to be a welcoming community hub, offering a warm environment for chats, assistance, and a variety of enriching activities. It has been a busy May.

Our multi-cultural singing group, One Town One Voice Mallow, has had their first performance, and are open to new members from all cultures and nationalities– please get in touch with Eithne Foley Social Prescriber on 087 719 3257 for further details.

May also saw the Community Health Project host a Nature Connection walk with Erin Gerathy, at Mallow Castle grounds which was described as a feast for the senses.

The Community Health Project was also involved in a very successful 50 Years celebration, with the HSE celebrating the voluntary work undertaken by groups in Mallow over the past 50 years.

And finally, the North Cork Knitters made a presentation to Suzanne Flynn, Director at Munster Lost and Found. These items will be sold in pop-up shops and car Boot sales in Cork City and County.

The Family Support team here in Le Chéile are offering a “Self Love Club: Mum’s Edition” which is two weeks of self-love and self-care to prepare mums for the long summer break. It takes place on June 12th and 19th 9.30-11.30am in Charleville, and to book a place, contact Aileen at 086 8383248.

From Community Health Projects and Social Prescribing to Art Therapy, Family Support, and Counselling, we’re here to support all ages. We also provide Literacy programs for children and adults, as well as assistance for Ukrainian families. Our activities include our multi-cultural One Town One Voice singing group, Laugh and Craft, Men’s Shed, Parent and Toddler Group, and Women’s Shed, among others. Our purpose-built childcare centre provides exceptional care and an engaging outdoor space for children aged 6 months to 6 years.

Whether you’re interested in social groups, youth theatre, baby massage, or just looking for a friendly place to connect, Le Chéile FRC has something for everyone. If you need space for your group or event, we offer room rentals with options to accommodate up to 150 people. For inquiries or bookings, contact us at bookings@lecheilefrc.ie or 022-42439.
