As we enjoy early summer here at Le Chéile FRC, we continue to be a welcoming community hub, offering a warm environment for chats, assistance, and a variety of enriching activities. It has been a busy April.

The Strollers Walking Group travelled to Fermoy recently with Community Health Worker Pauline O’Grady-Noonan, to have a Social morning with Fermoy’s Walkie Talkies.

In addition, Mallow Community Health Project in collaboration with Vision Ireland, Cork Sports Partnership and Le Cheile FRC held Tandem Pilot Cycle training this month in Mercy Centre. 10 Pilots were trained, and the hope is to organise a Tandem Cycle Club in North Cork.

Our multi-cultural singing group, One Town One Voice Mallow, is thriving and meeting weekly for conversation, refreshments and song. People of all cultures and nationalities are welcome – please get in touch with Eithne Foley Social Prescriber on 087 719 3257 for further details.

From Community Health Projects and Social Prescribing to Art Therapy, Family Support, and Counselling, we’re here to support all ages. We also provide Literacy programs for children and adults, as well as assistance for Ukrainian families. Our activities include our multi-cultural One Town One Voice singing group, Laugh and Craft, Men’s Shed, Parent and Toddler Group, and Women’s Shed, among others. Our purpose-built childcare centre provides exceptional care and an engaging outdoor space for children aged 6 months to 6 years.

Whether you’re interested in social groups, youth theatre, baby massage, or just looking for a friendly place to connect, Le Chéile FRC has something for everyone.
