With the brighter evenings and summer atmosphere settling in, life at Le Chéile continues to be busy, welcoming, and full of community spirit as we work alongside and support people across North Cork. Le Chéile recently hosted the third Women’s Wellness Evening where female hormones was the topic, and hope to run more of these evenings in the Autumn.

As the summer months arrive, our Laugh & Craft Group continues to offer a lovely opportunity to relax, connect, and get creative. The group meets every Tuesday from 7–9pm in the Mercy Centre (P51 PF10) until the end of June. Whether you are crafty or simply looking for good company and conversation, all are welcome. Parents and little ones are also enjoying our warm and welcoming Parent & Toddler Group, which runs every Wednesday morning from 9.45–11.30am at The Blue Cube (P51 VAK2). It’s a wonderful space for play, friendship, and support, while children enjoy a safe and engaging environment. For more information, contact Allison on 087 9008726.

We also continue to facilitate our Support Group for Parents of Children on the Autism Spectrum, meeting Mondays from 9.30–11am at Le Chéile FRC (P51 F344). This supportive space allows parents to share experiences, information, and encouragement with others who understand the journey. To join, contact Allison on 087 9008726.

Across all of our work, our Community Health Projects, Social Prescribing, Art Therapy, Family Support, and Counselling services remain central to what we do. Throughout the summer season and beyond, we continue to deliver inclusive programmes for all ages and communities, including Men’s and Women’s Sheds, literacy supports for children and adults, and dedicated outreach for Ukrainian families.

Our purpose-built childcare centre continues to thrive, providing high-quality care alongside a vibrant outdoor play space where children aged 6 months to 6 years can learn, explore, and enjoy the summer sunshine.
