As spring settles in and the brighter days begin to lift the mood, all at Le Chéile are continuing to work hard, as always, alongside our community. This month saw the departure of a much loved colleague, Pauline O’Grady Noonan, and all here at Le Chéile wish her well. Pauline touched the lives of many people in Mallow and she will be missed.
Our Easter Wreath Workshops took place in March and were a lovely way to welcome the season, thank you to everyone who took part.
As always, our multicultural community singing group One Town One Voice continues to bring joy and connection to Thursday evenings. Led by song leader Rosie Geraghty, the group warmly welcomes new members from all cultures—no singing experience needed, and instruments are always welcome. For more information, contact Eithne at 087 7193257.
Our Laugh & Craft group meets every Tuesday from 7–9pm at the Mercy Centre (P51 PF10). This relaxed and friendly group is all about unwinding with crafts, conversation, and a few laughs. No experience needed—just come along and enjoy getting creative. For details, contact Allison at 087 9008726.
Parents and young children can enjoy our cosy and welcoming Parent & Toddler Group, held on Wednesday mornings from 9.45–11.30am at The Blue Cube (P51 VAK2). It’s a lovely space for play, chats, and connection—perfect for meeting new faces while little ones enjoy a safe and social environment. For more information, contact Allison at 087 9008726.
For families raising children on the autism spectrum, we offer a Support Group for Parents of Children on the Spectrum, meeting Mondays from 9.30–11am at Le Chéile FRC (P51 F344). This is a warm and understanding space to share experiences, information, and support. To join, contact Allison at 087 9008726.
Our ongoing Community Health Projects, Social Prescribing, Art Therapy, Family Support, and Counselling services remain at the heart of what we do. We continue to offer inclusive programmes for all ages and backgrounds—from the Men’s and Women’s Sheds, to literacy supports for children and adults, and dedicated outreach for Ukrainian families. Our purpose-built childcare centre is also thriving, providing high-quality care and a fun outdoor space for children aged 6 months to 6 years.
We also offer flexible and affordable room rentals for community groups and events, with beautiful spaces available for gatherings of up to 150 people. For bookings or enquiries, email bookings@lecheilefrc.ie or call 022 42439.
