Le Chéile FRC Chronicles Jan 25: What’s Happened and What’s Next

As the new year has settled in, with challenging weather recently, all at Le Chéile are working hard, as always, for the community. Coming up to Spring, we are delighted to be offering Easter Wreath Workshops on March 3rd and 10th. To register, contact Allison at 087 9008726.

As always, the multicultural community singing group One Town One Voice continues to bring joy and harmony to Thursday evenings. Led by Song Leader Rosie Geraghty, the group welcomes new members from all cultures – no singing background needed, and instruments are very welcome too. more information, contact Eithne at 087 7193257.

Our Laugh & Craft group meets every Tuesday from 7–9pm at the Mercy Centre (P51 PF10). This upbeat get-together is all about unwinding with crafts, conversation, and good humour. No experience is needed – just come along, enjoy the company, and get into a creative flow as the festive season approaches. For details, contact Allison at 087 9008726.

Parents and young children can enjoy the cosy and relaxed Parent & Toddler Group, held on Wednesday mornings from 9.45–11.30am at The Blue Cube, P51 VAK2. It’s a friendly space for play, chats, and connection – ideal for meeting new faces during the winter months while giving little ones the chance to enjoy a safe, social environment. For families raising children on the autism spectrum, Le Chéile offers a dedicated Support Group for Parents of Children on the Spectrum, meeting on Mondays from 9.30–11am at Le Chéile FRC (P51 F344). This group provides a warm, understanding, and supportive place to share experiences and resources – especially valuable as we move through the busy festive season. Our ongoing Community Health Projects, Social Prescribing, Art Therapy, Family Support, and Counselling services remain at the heart of what we do. We’re proud to offer inclusive programmes to suit people of all ages and backgrounds—from the Men’s Shed and Women’s Shed, to literacy supports for both children and adults, and dedicated outreach for Ukrainian families. Our purpose-built childcare centre also continues to thrive, providing top-quality care and a playful outdoor environment for children aged 6 months to 6 years.
